Cotton-Pineapple Twill is a recent natural textile innovation which uses Philippine Cotton fibers blended with Pineapple fibers (leaves from the yellow variety or Ananas Bromeliaceae). It is the first of its kind in the world. The processed pineapple fiber used in this textile comes from discarded pineapple leaves that were removed from its fruit. Blended with cotton, it is now made more durable, breathable and smoother making it an alternative sustainable textile for everyday use.
Our Cotton-Pineapple Twill is thick and smooth. It resembles cotton-twill and denim fabric and is perfect for pants, shorts, jackets, dresses, bags, pillow covers, curtains and seat covers. It is also very receptive to natural dyes.

Important Note:
Currently, the Philippine Cotton-Pineapple Twill is still in its experimental phase. Our stock is the first sample for cotton-pineapple twill in this thickness. Imperfections are a feature on this material. Fabric shrinks up to 30-31” after washing.
Care & Washing Instructions:
Pineapple-cotton Twill can be used everyday. Keep it in mint condition by doing the following:
- By Hand: Soak in mild detergent and hand wash in cool or lukewarm water. Carefully wring to remove excess water and hang dry just like your standard cotton fabric.
- Using machine: Machine wash using mild detergent in delicate or gentle machine cycle setting. Tumble dry on low temperature and remove promptly.
- Bleaching: To remove impurities or make fabric whiter soak in diluted bleach and rinse completely as you would for standard cotton twill. Do not apply concentrated bleach directly on the fabric.
- Press or iron using standard settings for cotton. To remove wrinkles completely, press or iron while still damp. Avoid steam press that can cause unexpected staining or marking.
- Linting may occur after rigorous washing. Use lint-remover when this happens.
- Store in a cool and dry place where air circulates. Hang, roll or fold neatly when stored.
